Canine Care Tampa Bay

Our Mission

The mission of Canine Care Tampa Bay is to improve the overall health of family pet dogs and cats, decrease the number of pets that are turned in to shelters and abandoned, and decrease the number of pets that are euthanized due to their owners’ inability to afford proper healthcare.

Our Objective

The objective of Canine Care Tampa Bay is to financially assist pet owners with the cost of basic veterinary services for dogs and cats. For qualifying families, we pay a majority percentage of the vet bill at a highly respected, professional vet clinic to make it possible for families going through tough financial times to properly care for their pets’ wellness needs.

Our standard treatment plan for dogs includes:

  • Full exam with a veterinarian
  • Distemper vaccination
  • Fecal test
  • Heartworm test
  • Rabies vaccination (1 year)
  • Pinellas County license (1 year)
  • 6 month supply of Heartgard (heartworm preventative)

Our standard treatment plan for cats includes:

  • Full exam with a veterinarian
  • FVRR-CPC annual
  • Fecal test
  • Rabies vaccination (1 year)
  • Pinellas County license (1 year)

At Canine Care we realize that every situation is unique and if your pet has additional needs beyond basic vaccinations or health care needs including eye/ear/skin issues, we will discuss a treatment plan and determine what options exist. Canine Care is a non-profit organization dependent on the financial assistance of our supporters. Financial support is provided to qualified recipients and is determined at the discretion of Canine Care Tampa Bay. Canine Care support is limited to one visit unless prior approval is received from a Canine Care representative.

Canine Care is dedicated to the memory of my staunchest supporter and amazing friend, Matt Morgan. He truly loved dogs and provided me with his insight, encouragement, and guidance every step of the way through the creation of Canine Care. We love you Matt. This one’s for you.
